“For me, this theme is about designing for present and upcoming everyday realities, it is about designing artifacts and interactions that fit in our ever changing everyday world.”
I am a PhD candidate in the User Centered Engineering research group. My interests are mainly in the areas of tangible interaction design, calm technology and audio. My research is inspired by physical and auditory perception skills that we have gained through interaction in the physical world. More specifically, I am interested in how we can leverage human attention abilities in interaction with intelligent systems. Therefore, I am exploring how to design systems that can be perceived and interacted with in the background of the attention, but also focused on in the center of the attention if desired.
